Road trips and Foo Fighters
Had a good weekend, went to Cleveland :) Checked out a couple really pricey malls, glad I live where I live, because if I lived out there I'd be broke, lol. Also started listening to the Foo Fighters again :) Still love the Black Keys, but the Foo Fighters are making a comeback on my play list that's for sure.

Happiness
I've started reading the happiness project this week, and I've got to say that it has gotten me thinking about my own life and am I truly happy. If I'm honest with myself I could be happier. Now that I'm on midnights I do find myself happier with my job, I just need to get my personal life back on tack. I've come up with a list of goals in hopes that I can become the happy person I once was.
1.) exercise more
2.) volunteer
3.) start going to area events
4.) reconnect with old friends
5.) stop eating out as often
6.) start saving money
7.) fake it until you make it
8.) don't be afraid to fail
9.) start a new hobby

Not my week...
This week has be one of the roughest that I have encountered in a long time. Luckily work hasn't been the issue, sadly it has been my personal life and because of that I've made some decisions that will eventually effect my professional life as well though.
I have been wanting to go back for my RN, I'm just trying to figure out how. My original goal was to move north, but now I see no problem heading south. Tonight I was talking to a visitor at my job and found out that she went through a nursing program that I was looking at and she was telling me how good it is, I've decided to give them a better look. Who knows where I'll be next year...

The Summer of Change
So I've decided to start a blog, not sure if anything will come of it, but I feel the need to share my story and hope that maybe if someone comes across it, maybe it will inspire them.
I've been a nurse for almost 2 years now. In those two years I've learned a lot that I wasn't taught in the classroom that's for sure. I've also learned while I may not be a morning person, working afternoons is no longer for me. And that's why this summer is going to be all about change. I've been given the oppurtinty to go on midnights and have decided to take it. Here's hoping that this is the step in the right direction for me :)
